It is a blessed diet. Beyond being symbolic, the “Prasada” (blessed diet) is a conduit through which,
the Lord or the Guru, bestows upon the disciples, his mystical powers and
energy.
Also known
as “sattvik food”, when
it is subjected to “Mantras”
(chants), acquires altogether a new spiritual dimension.
